[An excerpt From Ellen’s Love Story.]
What a full week it’s been, and continues to be in “re-structuring” GTA. In every way possible, the Lord seems to affirm me in this Work…through INSANITY: testing my character and preconceived notions, unearthing hidden gifts, and challenging my heart to Love without condition…and in a sacrificial way.
Today was no exception. After what it seemed coming up for breath after 100 laps, He presented the challenge of the day: “Go to Windsor. Serve my people”.
INSANITY. We forgot, ok? It’s a day before, and there’s no way we can prepare, adequately.
Then Lord provided Solie, the Kia Sol, and two servants.
Still INSANITY. We can’t go. We won’t be giving them the best.
And then He spoke through a Brother: “It’s better to give them something, than nothing at all”.
No, but really…INSANITY. It’s against my Principles of Order and Organization.
Lord: “Principles, eh?” :: picturing the Father’s inquisitive gaze, ellen sinks back into her chair, sheepish::
By this time around, it’s 1:37 AM. There’s no turning back. And I…have found no retort to shoot back to the Answer of all Answers. All I’m left with is an overwhelming sense that the Lord is in Control (there really isn’t more to do, right?), and that all I have to do is watch His Beautiful Plan unfold…one that has transcended even the limitations of Time and my Pragmatic Thinking. What a humbling experience to be put in my place. And what a joyful experience it is to witness the unfolding of a glorious plan in the span of 24 hours.
Lord, bless our trip tomorrow. Bless our plans. Bless the hearts of the Missionaries You have called, and the Ones we will serve.
